Therapy for Adults with trauma, anxiety, depression, or adjusting to life.

If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, therapy can help you find your way again. At Clayton Counseling, we focus on treating anxiety and depression while supporting those who feel emotionally lost. Our caring approach helps you recognize what’s holding you back, deal with tough emotions, and build the skills for lasting change. You don’t have to face this alone—healing and growth are possible, and we’re here to support you.

Our therapists use evidence-based approaches—including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and mindfulness—to support healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, and more. Sessions are available both in-office and via secure Zoom, offering flexible, compassionate care.

Mental health evaluations for court, school, or immigration

Mental health evaluations comprehensively look at cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
These assessments typically take 4–6 hours and may include testing for IQ, ADHD, learning differences, and other mental health concerns. Evaluations are often used in school, court, or custody settings, but may also be requested by your physician to inform treatment planning or medication decisions. You’ll receive a detailed report and professional recommendations to support next steps.

Group Therapy

We offer several groups. Take a look at our calendar and group descriptions to find one that fits your needs. Groups can be a way to connect with others, find support, and receive in-the-moment training on things you work on in individual counseling.

Therapy for children with difficulties managing emotions, dealing with frustration, or communicating.

At Clayton Counseling & Associates, our therapists use developmentally appropriate tools—like play therapy, art, animal-assisted interventions, and interactive activities—to help children process emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills.

We offer counseling both in-school and in our welcoming office spaces. Sunny and Meredith specialize in working with children and adolescents, providing compassionate, trauma-informed care tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Therapy for couples navigating difficulties in their relationship

Most relationship conflict stems from a breakdown in communication—and the good news is, that can be repaired.
Our couples counseling begins with a thorough relationship assessment to understand your strengths, challenges, and patterns. Using the evidence-based Gottman Method, we help partners rebuild trust, improve communication, and strengthen emotional connection. Whether navigating ongoing conflict, life transitions, or feeling disconnected, we’re here to help you reconnect with intention and compassion.

Adjunct treatments

We offer several adjunct therapy options such as: Sensory deprivation, Vegus nerve stimulation, and Biofeedback.

EMDR Intensives

Short on time? We offer EMDR intensives, which are longer EMDR sessions to work through trauma at an accelerated rate to get you back on track faster.

If you’re ready to take the first step towards healing or have any questions about our services, we’re here for you. At Clayton Counseling, we value every individual’s journey and are dedicated to providing personalized support.
